I didnt read the book but i did read the reviews and i think we might be reading different reviews (i read the amazon reviews mostly) because points 1 and 3 only come up occasionally, point 2 is in about every negative review, even a lot of the positive ones. Mr. Clay heads to town to assess the situation, but gets lost.
